Born in New Delhi, India, Bainz first set foot in the music industry in 2008. Fast forward a decade and more, he has become the go to mixer and engineer for Young Thug and his label Young Stoner Life Records and most recently mixed the entirety of Young Stoner Life’s compilation album Slime Language 2 which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200.
Bainz has been responsible for engineering and mixing some of the most defining global hip hop hits. These include ‘Ski’ by Young Thug and Gunna from the viral #SkiChallenge, the multi-platinum ‘Hot’ by Young Thug, Gunna and Travis Scott, multi-platinum ‘Go Crazy’ by Chris Brown and Young Thug, Billboard Hot 100’s #1 ‘Franchise’ by Travis Scott featuring Young Thug and M.I.A, to name a few.
In 2021, Bainz was featured in the July issue of Sound on Sound magazine in the Inside Track column for his mix on ‘Ski’. He was also tapped by Avid to showcase their new Carbon interface.
